KARE moves to abolish blighted Chase Street property

The Kane Area Revitalization Enterprise’s bid to purchase the property at 316 Chase St. from the McKean County Repository cleared a final hurdle on Tuesday.
The McKean County Commissioners approved a bid of $250 for the property. The bid had previously been approved by two taxing bodies, the Borough of Kane during a June 9, 2014 meeting and the Kane Area School District at the board meeting on June 12.
