Slow-moving storm brings heavy rain to Kane

June 25, 2014

Photo by Ted Lutz – High muddy water is churning in Two-Mile Creek as it passes through Ludlow. Heavy rain has caused some Kane area streams to overflow their banks.

A slow-moving storm dumped up to three inches of rain on the Kane area within a 33-hour period, the National Weather Service confirmed Wednesday.
The deluge caused widespread flooding along low-lying areas.
Many basements flooded and sections of some area highways and roads were temporarily closed due to high water.
