KAHS grad Donna Ingersoll working on 3rd novel

June 27, 2014

Donna (Champion) Ingersoll, a 1969 graduate of Kane High School, is currently working on her third novel. She has had seven books published, including two novels, children's books and a book of poetry. The author, her husband and their children's families all live in the Indianapolis area since the late 1970s, although Ingersoll said northwest Pennsylvania will always be home.

When Kane High’s Class of 1969 meets later today for their 45th class reunion, one of their classmates that will be missing is author Donna (Champion) Ingersoll. Ingersoll never expected to be an author but is currently working on her third novel.
Ingersoll grew up in Westline before moving to Mt. Jewett when she was 14, the daughter of Lorraine and Robert Thornton. The year after graduating from Kane High, she married Tim Ingersoll, a 1968 Kane grad. The couple had two children, Stephanie (Ingersoll Barker) and Timothy II and moved to Indianapolis in 1979, where they still reside.
