School board president sees 'big challenge'

July 10, 2014

Claire Ann Depto, the newly-elected president of the Kane School Board, is looking ahead to what she terms "a big challenge."
"There's a lot of responsibility," she said Thursday after conducting her first meeting as school board president. "It's going to be a big challenge."
The board on Thursday elected Depto as president to replace Ken Kane, who resigned. Depto had been the vice president.
"I thank the board members for their confidence in me," Depto said. "I feel everyone on the board is an equal."
