Youth with local ties to compete in MLB All-Star activities

Cole Young, the son of former Kane resident Jo Anne (Kocjancic) Young, will travel to Minneapolis to take part in Major League Baseball's Pitch, Hit and Run finals. The ten year old grandson of Millie and the late Joe Kocjancic will also be on the field shagging flies during Monday night's nationally televised Home Run Derby.

Cole Young will be certainly have a story to share with his classmates when he returns to the fifth grade at Bradford Woods Elementary School this fall about what he did over summer vacation. The 10-year-old son of former Kane resident Jo Anne (Kocjancic) Young will be one of 24 young baseball players competing in next Monday’s Major League Baseball’s Pitch, Hit & Run finals.
