Kane students show improvement on state tests

Preliminary data indicates that Kane school students are showing improvement on state tests.
Even so, school officials are planning more remedial work to raise the number of students who are proficient in the basic skills of math, reading, writing and science.
The school board's Curriculum Committee reviewed the preliminary data on state test results during a 2 1/2-hour meeting Thursday at the Kane Middle School library.
