Kane School Board OKs hire of 2 full-time positions

August 4, 2014

The Kane Area School Board of Directors met in the school’s middle school auditorium on Monday evening for a special meeting. On the agenda were discussions regarding the hiring of a board secretary, school psychologist, technology support position and the district’s next superintendent.
Board President Claire Ann Depto suspended Robert’s Rules of Order to allow informal discussions about each of the positions. Board members and the approximately two dozen patrons in the audience heard Technology Director Mark Candalor and Supervisor of Special Education Julia Anderson provide their pitches for the board to hire a full-time technology support employee and a full-time school psychologist, respectively, for the next school year.
