'Drop-off' to aid troops is set Saturday at VFW

Photo by Ted Lutz – Kane area residents are urged to "drop by" the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) on Wetmore Avenue in Kane on Saturday to donate items for Kane soldiers deployed overseas. Donors do not need to leave their vehicles as volunteers will accept donations from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Kane area residents always have generously responded to calls to donate items that will be sent to local soldiers deployed overseas.
Another plea is being made.
A "Troop Support Drop-off" is set from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) at 95 Wetmore Ave. in Kane.
Persons do not even need to leave their vehicles as they pull up Saturday to drop off items at the VFW. Volunteers will be out front to collect items and donations.
