Governor is asked: 'Where's money for Kane school?'

August 14, 2014

Tom Kerek

Tom Kerek has only been on the Kane School Board for three months, but he's showing that he's not afraid to stick his head in a sticky controversy.
Kerek last month approached Gov. Tom Corbett and asked: "Where's the money the state owes the Kane School District?"
Speaking Thursday at a school board meeting, Kerek said he attended a public forum in Ridgway that featured Corbett.
When the public was invited to speak to the governor one-on-one, Kerek was there with his question.
