School board approves personnel for coming year

August 16, 2014

Nicholas Byron

The Kane School Board has approved several personnel appointments for the coming school year that begins Tuesday, Aug. 26.
Appointments approved at a meeting Thursday include:
*Nicholas Byron, a Chicago native who now lives in Ludlow, has been named as a new vocational-agricultural teacher. He replaces Brian Lawson, who resigned two years ago. Roger Gausman served as a long-term substitute for the position last year.
Byron and his wife—the former Jacqueline Depto of Ludlow—have a 3-month-old son, Royce. The new teacher is not directly related to Claire Ann Depto, a Ludlow resident who is president of the school board.
