Mary Hosmer helping to restore Young Forest to Northern Pa.

August 22, 2014

As a long time hunter, Mary Hosmer recognizes the connection between the loss of habitat and the loss of the game species she loves.  Tackling this issue head-on, Mary has worked tirelessly to create high-quality Young Forest habitat for the last fifteen years.  “I always told myself when I retired that I was going to do all I could to help restore Young Forest to northern Pennsylvania.  Young Forest habitat has undergone a 70% decline in the last 30 years across the eastern United States, and Pennsylvania mirrors that decline. As a hunter, you feel it in the loss of game.”
