James City residents upset with cut in post office hours

August 29, 2014

JAMES CITY – It was very evident Thursday that James City residents are not happy with a plan to reduce the weekday “window hours” at their post office to just two hours.
They expressed their displeasure with the proposal during an informational meeting at the Highland Township Fire Hall in James City.
Under the plan, the “window” at the post office on Delaware Avenue would be open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday “window” hours would remain the same—9 a.m. to noon.
The “window” now is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
