Charles H. “Charlie” Stauffer, age 86, of Overbrook, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.
He was the beloved husband of Marguerite L. for 63 years; father of Karen (Bob) Clager, Chuck (Carol), Linda (Joe) Paul, Russell and the late Harry; loving grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Charlie was a proud U.S. Marine veteran who served in the Pacific Theater during World War II and was a member of the Boilermaker Union, Local #154.
Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227 on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Prayer will be Wednesday morning at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Norbert Church will follow at 10 a.m.
