The Kane Wolves boys soccer team came into Tuesday's match against the Johnsonburg Rams for their seventh straight home game before traveling to Coudersport on Thursday. With yet another league game the Wolves knew nothing would be easy. Kane traveled to Johnsonburg three weeks ago and prevailed with a hard fought 3-0 win.
With the poor weather and the amount of play on the soccer field this week, conditions were less than perfect. Mud and water covered the field, making passing and shooting more challenging than normal. Despite this, the rams caught an early break just 13 minutes into the game when a player was tripped inside the penalty box. The Rams goalkeeper took the shot and put the visitors on the board. Kane's passing and ball movement in the first half was very good, but shots on target were hard to come by. The Wolves were unable to answer the rams goal and went into halftime trailing 1-0.
