Theresa Lindsay, 49, of 505 Little Neck Rd., Savannah, Ga., and formerly of Kane, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, at her residence.
Born Oct. 29, 1962, in St. Marys, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Derma Murray Pennington. She was married to Christopher Lindsay who survives.
Theresa had been employed as a cook for the former Ranch Restaurant and also had worked at Snyder Nursing Home in Marienville.
Her grandchildren were the highlights of her life.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Skye (Brian) Keyes and Melissa Lindsay of Savannah, Ga; a son, Travis Whipple of Kane; a grandson, Colton; two granddaughters, Mindy and McKenna; two sisters, Peggy (James) Bailey and Nicole (Kevin) Causer of Kane; two brothers, Randy Pennington of Wetmore and Nick Pennington of Kane; a longtime friend, Ian Crom of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews to whom she was very close.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by three sisters, Lois Carlson, Judy Dunkle and Cathy Ziglar; and two brothers, Scott Pennington and Russell Pennington.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where a funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. noon Friday with the Rev. Leonard Eastman, pastor of the Kane Revival Center, officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
