MT. JEWETT – Dr. Linda Rettger has practiced family medicine in Mt. Jewett for 31 years.
She now will be seeing patients in a new state-of-the-art medical office complex.
"I'm very happy with our new building," Rettger said Thursday after cutting the ribbon to officially open the UPMC Hamot Medical Park at 18 W. Main St. near the Mt. Jewett Post Office. "This is a wonderful asset for our community."
The Mt. Jewett medical park is a service of Kane Community Hospital, which is an affiliate of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the Hamot Medical Center in Erie.
Rettger, who resides in Mt. Jewett, has practiced medicine for more than 34 years. During her long career as Mt. Jewett's physician, Rettger maintained a medical office at 29 Boyd St. in the borough.
"Our new facility is definitely open and fresh," Rettger said with a tone of excitement about her new medical office. "It's pleasant. Everybody seems to be very positive about it."
Rettger is the key provider at the new building, which has 3,000 square feet of space on the ground level. The basement also has space that could be utilized for future services.
