Former Kane police chief Osmer to run for mayor

Photo by Ted Lutz – William "Yogi" Osmer, a retired Kane borough police chief, plans to run for election this year as the mayor of Kane. He said he will seek the Democratic nomination for mayor. Doug Caldwell, a Republican, is the incumbent.

Vowing he can bring about efficiencies in the police department, former Kane police chief William "Yogi" Osmer confirmed Tuesday that he will run for election as mayor this year.
