Howard Sidney Graham, 86, of Route 6, Kane, and formerly of Milford, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at his residence.
Born Jan. 28, 1928 at the family farmhouse in Cairo, N.Y., he was a son of the late Claude and Edith Howard Graham. On July 22, 1957, in Yonkers, N.Y., he married Ann Gezirjian who survives.
Mr. Graham was a member of the Kane Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and served as an elder for many years in Port Jervis, N.Y., Monroe, N.Y. and Milford, as well as in Kane. He was in charge of building two Kingdom Halls, one in Monroe, N.Y. and the other in Milford.
He enjoyed fishing but his greatest enjoyment came from his gardening.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Ann Graham, are a son, Kristen (Cynda) Graham of Kane; two brothers, Glenn (Barbara) Graham of Milford and Douglas Graham of Florida; a nephew, David (Debra) Graham of Milford; granddaughters Brooke (Jonathan) Creamer and Nia Brown; and three great-grandchildren, Connor, Matia and Alya. Also surviving are his in-laws, Rose, Ed, John and Beatrice Gezirjian; and the Bortlick family, Michele, Joel, Logan and Kenton.
Friends and family may attend a memorial talk by Randy Bandi at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
