Joyce Marie Simpson, 56, West Stubs Road, Corsica, died Saturday, May 24, 2014.
Born Oct. 11, 1957, in Brookville, she was a daughter of the late James Wolfgang and of Vivian Silvis Wolfgang, who survives and lives in Kane.
She was married to Marlyn C. “Stub” Simpson in Corsica March 26, 1983. He survives.
She worked as a hairdresser for 38 years and was owner/operator of Simpson’s Beauty Shop in Corsica.
She was a member of the Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Corsica and also of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, family and friends.
She is also survived by a son, Tyler (Kayla) Simpson of Corsica; a daughter, Melissa (Earl Jr.) Rich of Kane; a brother, James (LaShonda) Wolfgang of Kane; three sisters: Melody (Ed) Morris of Kane, Vickie (Dave) McNutt of Corsica and Jane Wolfgang of Kane; two grandchildren, Garrett Simpson and McKenzie Rich; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark Wolfgang.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, at Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Corsica with the Rev. James Dietrich officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery.
