Howard L. Davidson, 81, of 13003 Route 948 in Highland Township, formerly of Ludlow, died Tuesday morning, July 1, 2014 at the Kane Community Hospital.
Born Nov. 22, 1932 in Ludlow, he was the son of Roy N. and Geneva Montgomery Davidson. On Aug. 30, 1953, he married Peggy L. Bradybaugh, who survives.
After serving in the U.S. Army in the Korean War, Howard was a welder and mechanic for National Fuel Gas Co. for many years. He was a member of VFW Post #1132 in Kane, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four daughters, Debby Taraski, Robin Byers, and Sonya Davidson, all of Kane, and Rosanne Patterson of Bradford; two sons, Fredrick and Robert Davidson, both of Kane; a sister, Helen "Sis" Bollinger of Chambersburg; and a brother, Dan Davidson of Ludlow. Nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a sister, Marie Davidson; and a step-brother, Paul Sorokas.
At his request, services will be private and interment will take place in Moriah Cemetery, Ludlow, following cremation.
Memorial contributions may be made to a church or charity of the donor's choice.
