Alice A. Morrison, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 at Berkeley Square. She was born in Kane on Feb. 9, 1932, the daughter of the late Sigfred and Effie (Chelgren) Anderson. Alice graduated from Kane High School in Kane in 1950 and received her nursing diploma from Butler Hospital School of Nursing in Butler in 1953.
Alice married her husband of over 56 years, Charles R. “Bob” Morrison, on May 7, 1954 in Kane. Alice and Bob lived in Newark, Ohio for 34 years and were members of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a registered nurse for over 22 years, retiring in 1988. Over the years, Alice had volunteered with the Emergency Money Fund, Heartbeats Crisis Pregnancy Center and a local hospice organization.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Morrison; daughters Debra (William) Rau of Atlanta and Cheryl (David) Adam of Cincinnati; grandchildren Jennifer, Emily, Valerie, Nathan, Lindsay, Lauren and Jonathan; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Offutt. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Delores Fetzeck. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family would like to acknowledge the many wonderful friends Alice made at Berkeley Square and Bethel Community Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Colonial Foundation/Berkeley Square, 520 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Webb Noonan Funeral Home is serving the family.
