Wind is blamed for electric power outages Monday in the Kane area.
One outage disrupted electric service in several sections of Kane from 5:01 p.m. Monday until 6:50 p.m. Monday, according to a spokesman for West Penn Power.
Wind caused two lines to come into contact with each other, the spokesman said. An estimated 150 customers were affected by this outage, the spokesman said Tuesday.
Another outage cut power in sections of James City from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, the spokesman said. About 20 customers were affected by the loss of power. High winds also are blamed for this outage, the spokesman said.
